Tie and Handkerchief (7:15)

The question is, who is living off the aristocrats in 19th Century Europe? A vampire?

Saint Augustus (8:28)

He portrayed himself as humanity's beneficiary, but did he indeed become corrupted by the adolation?

Hubris (7:39)

She was his lady and yet she knew full well where she stood when it came to charm and beauty.

Portal (7:20)

The only way to escape his broken heart was to return to a past before he met her.

Djibouti (5:22)

A hidaway in the hidden depths of Africa.

Final Affinity (11:45)

He comes disguised in a hat and long dark coat. Are you prepared to face him?

Aethellis head   Tie and Handkerchief

You've been abandoned now

The fingers have loosened

The tiles have come off of the wall

No danger in hunting now

The canopy's thrown back

Your victims are held in your thrall

Curtains are dancing now

The frail wrist goes snapping

No monks will record this vow

You are elated so

Despite the anger

You know what you reap you will sow

One more tie and hankerchief to while away the hours

Moonlit rooves are in my sight

The cobbled streets are such delight

And women hang out their linens damp

And the lamplighters light every lamp

One more tie and hankerchief to while away the hours

No monks will record this vow

Aethellis head Saint Augustus

Honor is a virtue which cannot be replaced

By thought, word or deed

He listens and obeys the creed

Only to go to his own

Saint Augustus, will you help us

Will you grant us life?

Saint Augusts, will you burn us?

Or will you grant us light?

Few men at arms would guard him from those

Whose wounds sting and fester

Exacerbated by his cruelty

Some day they will be at war

Saint Augustus, will you help us

Will you grant us life?

Saint Augusts, will you burn us?

Or will you grant us light?

Children go and journey fast

Look to the first and be not last

You are the forgotten hope

To which we turn in time of need

Don't look back, you may turn to salt

As brightness then would claim your eyes

This old city would be ashes

Unlike a phoenix it will not again rise

Children go and journey fast

Remember our forgotten past

Grow up strong to teach your own

Not to allow corruption of a throne

Don't come back, we may not be here

Destroyed perhaps by our own fear

Go on children and live for glory

And when you can avenge us here

Aethellis head Hubris

You're so quiet now, guilded jewelry glistening

And your turn your head with a deepening sigh

All your peers have felt your charms existential

And you've blessed them all with your presence here

Common cause is forbidden here

There is no place for it

Where you are concerned it's all we've learned

No one can hold a candle to you dear

So you spread your feathers wide

The effulgence brightening the room

Other grey creatures they wither and hide

They are no match for you

What did you say dear?

Chandeliers have nothing on you

Your facets outnumber a gem's

Tell me more about yourself dear

Like you have already over and over again

What did you say dear?

Aethellis head Portal

Sigh, can't you feel the morning breeze

Listen, as it whispers through the trees

Oh, it seems so long ago and so far away

It's really quite close

Carol, can you hear me call your name?

Why, why is always the same?

You were always so wrong for me

Why can't I make myself see

The plants and the trees are gone

Replaced by the tractor's song

And like us it's barren all around

Children laugh and ride their bikes down the street

For them life's still sweet

But when they reach that guilded age of doubt

Then they'll want to go home

Carol, can you hear me call your name?

Why, why is it always the same?

You were always so wrong for me

Why can't I make myself see

The plants and the trees are gone

Replaced by the tractor's song

And like us it's barren all around

Now, I watch myself walk away

I won't turn away this time

The past is calling me

Through that portal I see

Back, back to that long ago

Before the seed I planted began to grow

Here I'll stay breathing the misty air

Of a time before I met you

Here I've not a care

Because it's before I met you

Here I'm unaware

Because it's a time before I met you

Carol, you can't hear me call your name

Why, you see, it never is the same

Carol, I'm forgetting your name

The past, you see, is not the same

Aethellis head  Final Affinity

Droplets fall impacting

Widening in circles

Well-worn soles that tread thereupon

Bringing him closer to you

The wide-brimmed hat obscuring

The face that you fear to observe

He raises his gaze to meet your eye

As you realize your Final Affinity

"Come one, come all" they cry to you

Cancer spreading through and through

Beat your odds the spoilers too

Blemishes made in your own Katmandu

Malateste judges those who fall

Like flaking words written on the wall

No longer bond with porous brick

No homages made when the blood is this thick

"Come one, come all" they cry to you

Cancer spreading through and through

Northumbria (10:55)

The Battle of Heavenfield in 634 after which Oswald became king of all Northumbria.

The Awakening (3:29)

Was The Awakening the restoration of a new spiritual awareness to Northumbria?

Dire Need (3:50)

The insanity of the modern work place and the need to return to a simpler time.

The Penal Colony (6:06)

The need to escape mirrors the desperation of convicts in Van Diemen's Land in Tasmania.

Without A Sound (5:31)

A love song, pure and simple.

Celui Qui Soit La Bosse (2:56)

Whatever is the bump? They know in Paris!

Exchequer Prague (3:16)

The royal treasury - is it now part of the Czech Republic?

The Peace Path (10:54)

Harmony at least as we turn the corner, 'round the bend, searching for release.

Sounds Good (4:46)

Yes it does!

Northumbria

Wrath....
Oh be my carriage to you
Unbound in thy stead
And steely intent

Wrath...
May Cadwallon receive
Your sword in his side
At Heavenfield

Canvas love, my ordeal
Faith at hand, bow or kneel
Sinners flee captured in
The same things that brought them in

Oh see before Him
Light and dark
Beyond your ken
Withheld your bitter flight
Deal at hand
Your never ending plight

Canvas hate, your ordeal
Doubt at hand, your fate is sealed

Oh see before Him
Light and dark
Beyond your ken
Withheld your bitter flight
Deal at hand
Your never ending plight

Dire Need

Lashing out right and left
Persuing every avenue
You feel like biting off the heads of those
Who took Custer's Stand from you

You can see much
There's too much dust
To find your way through all this pain
You're not backing down
You tired inside
They're telling you your wells run dry

Tune out, turn off, turn it over
Tune out, turn off, turn it over

Columns up and down
Rows right and left
They're taking their toll on you
You can't face it, another day
With the screen staring back at you

Another place, another time
Is all you dream about
You're confused, your camera's loaded
But you can't get another shot

Wages are as wages is
They tell you too your face
But cages are as cages made
To hold you in your place

You face is blanched, your hair is white
You're still behind the bars
They make it seem as if you are
A veteran of their wars

Tune out, turn off, turn it over
Tune out, turn off, turn it over

Without A Sound

Wait, don't open the door just yet
Before we go there's so very much I want to say

You know sometimes how you dance
When the mood is overrun by your flights of joy

I'd cancel all my victories
Repent my greatest sins
Just to have you do that dance again

Wait, there's a little more to tell
I know you're puzzled
And why bring this up just now

Well I figured I'd better release myself
Like a spring in clock unwinds

I'd cancel all my victories
Repent my greatest sins
Just to have you smile at me again

Well you never knew I waited
Patiently biding my time
Finding that when the time was right
I'd all but forgotten my lines

But you're the book that I hold
So tightly in my hands
You keep me from giving up
When I'm so behind the lines

So let me say to you
That I'll never let you down
I tell you that I love you
Without uttering a sound

I'd cancel all my victories
Repent my greatest sins
Just to have you smile at me again

Well you never knew I waited
Patiently biding my time
Finding that when the time was right
I'd all but forgotten my lines

But you're the book that I hold
So tightly in my hands
You keep me from giving up
When I'm so behind the lines

So let me say to you
That I'll never let you down
I tell you that I love you
Without uttering a sound

The Peace Path

Violent cares leave me unaware
Darkened thoughts claim me
For the galleons of prosperous lives
Have yet to reach my grassy shore

Still I trust in waves pronounced and strong
See the shore bid its time
The sands do not care
Who tread upon their grains
So the shore bids its time

Where are you?
Now with all of your people gone
You cannot ring true
Saying justice is served and is done

Tempests turn and the tides seem to pull
The boundaries are there to be pushed
Ancient their faces may be

They are to you as one
Textured harmonies undone
Where will you find
The fields of youth in kind
As you walk the path of peace once again

I will follow you
If you follow me
Down the path of peace
Harmony at least
As we turn the corner 'round the bend
Searching for release

You may follow them
But not return again
Moving from the path
Moving from the grain harvested
While you heart starves
And will never mend

I feel the wind blowing
But through my tears
The sun glowing
And all my fears go dissolving
As I walk the path
The path of peace once again

I will follow you
If you follow me
Down the path of peace
Harmony at least
As we turn the corner 'round the bend
Searching for release

You may follow them
But not return again
Moving from the path
Moving from the grain harvested
While you heart starves
And will never mend

I feel the wind blowing
But through my tears
The sun glowing
And all my fears go dissolving
As I walk the path
The path of peace once again
